Criminal Minds Hiatus: I Know What Gube Did This Summer!

Some people have an easier time than others when it comes to putting on the brakes for some well-earned downtime. Looks like everyone’s favorite multi-doctorate-lovable genius-Spencer Reid’s idea of vacation is… more work! The energetic actor/director was more ubiquitous than usual this summer, what with film projects and premieres, appearances, and promotion for Criminal Minds all part of his hectic schedule (while squeezing in family time too), all over the North American continent. Below is a pictorial review of  what we were privy to from Matthew Gray Gubler these past few months.

Filming the indie production Hot Air in Austin:

At the TCAs red carpet event and after-party in Los Angeles:

 

 

… before heading out on a red eye to Montreal for FantasiaFest and an audience Q&A (with his mom in attendance), as well as the world premiere of Suburban Gothic, and a screening of Life After Beth with co-star Aubrey Plaza at the same event!

     

 

So from the ‘evidence’ we can clearly see that this guy’s ‘methodology’ won’t allow him to slow down any time soon, and that’s fine with us. We have two new movies and a brand new season of Criminal Minds to look forward to (oh and by the way, he’s directing two of the episodes this season), and that’s the way Gube likes it.
