Criminal Minds Officially Getting TEN Additional Episodes!

Criminal Minds Officially Getting TEN Additional Episodes!

Announced last night via BJ Rogers’ (wardrobe department head) twitter and other social media, our show will definitely be getting more episodes – but did her statement raise more questions than it answered?

Contrarily, fan outlets like SpoilerTV had previously reported just last week that there were no additional episodes on tap for the veteran yet still wildly popular crime drama this season, fueling speculation that this year might be the last. Yet the announcement last night was made with no further follow-up, leaving fans to jump to conclusions of their own.

Questions like “Will the episodes air this season?”, “Have any been filmed yet?”, “Does this mean there’s definitely no season 15?”, and other speculation ran rampant, and is still being debated as of this writing. It makes sense that either the studio wants CM to go out with a BANG, or is showing an early vote of confidence for an additional season.

The fact that most of the actor’s contracts are up this season is also a factor to consider, as well, and if there is a much-hoped-for continuation, when will the viewers find out the details? Much remains up in the air at this moment, but one thing is certain – the fans are here for MORE Criminal Minds, no matter how it’s doled out.

Watch this space for further details, as it looks like it’s Wheels UP for the foreseeable future!

So the order size increased from 15 to 20 or from 15 to 25? I get why they did it this way, this saves time on contract negotiations and the actors are available.

Will these additional episodes be a season 15? Is CM cancelled?

Can we start enjoying the Hotch crazy fans comments? LOL!

The order size is for ten ADDITIONAL eps added to the 15 already on tap. We don’t know yet how or when they’ll be aired. Watch this space for more details as they become available. No, CM is not canceled.

P.S. I chuckled at your “Hotch crazy fans” comment, but they don’t usually try to post here. 😉

I really love that, too. Honoring the rich past of the show by revisiting some of the key stories is outstanding.

Ten more episodes is great! I tried to watch different tv shows but I can’t compare them to criminal minds, this show is just the best of the best. Although I would love to get more thrill, suspense, chase and friendly interactions between the team. I wish to see 400th and 500th episodes!

I’m so upset criminal minds is ending. It’s the best. I feel as if I’m losing my friends. Can’t the network reconsider. The ratings are consistently good. There are a lot of the baby boomer generation who love this show and you kind of push us to the side. ( which is a mistake). This show could be like another NCIS on forever,
