Criminal Minds Writer Virgil Williams Chooses Not To Renew Contract!

Criminal Minds Writer Virgil Williams Chooses Not To Renew Contract!

In a move that will disappoint fans of his writing, producer and long-time writer Virgil Williams has decided not to return for season 13 of our show. Confirmed to me this very morning, he conveyed this message:

Yes, I’m leaving the show. Was fortunate enough to have a film sell at the Sundance film Festival, so to pursue other opportunities I had to turn down a very generous offer to return to CM.

Virgil joined the CM writers room in season 7, already an accomplished writer from blockbusters like 24 and ER, and has crafted many hours of stellar entertainment in his tenure with the show. Despite any residual negativity (which isn’t welcome here), I know most of you will want to join me in thanking him for his contributions, and wishing him well in his future creative pursuits!

Damn…looking at the episodes he has written, a lot of them were really good!! Looks like he wrote lots of great Willifer episodes and ‘sick day’ was the best episode in a while! Sad to see him go

Shocking news! I did like quite a few of the episodes he wrote. Best of luck to him going forward.
