Criminal Minds 1st Day Back At It for S12 – HI AISHA!

What’s going on?

There’s a lot of changes happening with our show so far, and nobody’s really giving us any clue as to the why of things, yet. We know:

Shemar left last season, we don’t know if or how much he’ll be involved this year!

Looks like Aisha’s BAAACK! NICE!

Two writers, Kim Harrison and Sharon Lee Watson, have not returned for this season, with their replacements being Stephanie SenGupta (having Law & Order and Hawaii 5-O experience) and Gigi Coello-Bannon (from American Dreams, and Murder One, also she’s a producer on CM). I’ve long been vocal about Kim’s writing, but Sharon is really unexpected. She really gets and understands the heart of our team, and she’s up there with Breen in writing Reid! I’m very upset she’s left, the writers are extremely important and to lose Sharon is a real blow. Hopefully we’ll at least know why, soon.

**UPDATE** Sharon was kind enough to respond to my tweet:

So we know a little more about why she left, and that it’s a good thing. She’s also said in another tweet that she’ll be consulting on Notorious and developing shows for Sony Television. Thanks, Sharon!

Paget keeps teasing with her tweets. I’m dying to know just HOW MUCH she’ll be involved this season, aren’t you? She’s being just cryptic enough to let us know she’ll be back, but not in what capacity! AUGH! Suspense is killing me!

12×01: The Crimson King written by Breen Frazier

12×02: Sick Day written by Virgil Williams

12×03: Taboo written by Karen Maser

NEW GUY! The CSI veteran Adam Rodriguez will be joining the team. His character, Luke Alvez, comes from the FBI’s Fugitive Task Force, which makes sense considering they’ll be pursuing escaped serial killers from previous seasons. We welcome him and even though he won’t be able to replace Morgan, lets hope he’ll help fill that void, somewhat. I’d like to see some conflict with Reid at first, but maybe that’s just me.

So there’s the skinny so far. Here’s to knowing more sooner rather than later, and I’ll be posting whatever I hear. STAY TUNED!
